Our client is a growing and expanding established iGaming company based in Malta. They specialise in Poker, Casino and Sportsbook, and this new role has arisen as a result of their expansion.
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the CFO, the selected candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, accounting, reconciliations and ensuring that management information systems are accurately kept up to date.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounts position
- Accurate and reliable track record with the ability to work independently
- Experience with inter-company transactions with foreign subsidiaries
- Experience with online Gaming accounting standards is a MUST
- Ability to reconcile SPP balances and Clients balances at month end and year end
- Candidates must have strong communication and Excel skills
- Excellent knowledge of English, spoken and written
- Proven strength in GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, reporting and analysis
- Candidates must have worked with different tax legislations, including Malta, comfortable with VAT Returns and Inland Revenue communications
- Must be based in Malta and have a proven track record of checkable experience
- Having worked abroad (UK, GIBRALTAR, AUSTRIA, COSTA RICA) is a sure plus
- Having a hands-on approach
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for all accounting functions including:
- Revenue accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inter-company transactions, month end close, cash management, fully reconciled trial balance
- Posting of regular monthly recurring and adjustment journals
- Detailed analysis and reconciliation of control accounts and balance sheet accounts (including accruals, prepayments and fixed assets)
- Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures that are consistent with and support the needs of the company
- Responsible for providing the CFO with all required information for Group consolidation and all external reporting
MAJOR OBJECTIVES:
- Accelerate the month end close process using a detailed month end file
- Improve the timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting and compliance
- Support reporting requirements in accordance with appropriate statutory and/or regulatory reporting requirements
- Working on ad hoc projects
