My client is a leader and innovator in prepaid card issuance and related payment services. Through its SEPA licences and passported authority it has become a leading provider of prepaid products throughout Europe. As part of its substantial current growth, it is seeking a Compliance Officer to assist the Head of Risk and Compliance with the development of internal policy and procedure including audit program, to help monitor program partners to ensure compliance with regulatory and MasterCard/Visa rules
and to assist with the effective maintenance of the internal risk management framework.
Responsibilities
Conduct onsite visits/audits
Reviewing and approving financial promotions
Conducting KYC and KYB verification
Reviewing suspicious/fraudulent activity, completion of SARs for submission to MLRO (HRC)
Assist HRC with the regular review of internal fraud monitoring systems]
Liaise effectively with other internal departments
Liaise effectively with FSC and other local authorities
Skills
Some knowledge and understanding of local AML legislation and requirements
Reasonable Excel skills
Knowledge of payment industry (Desirable)
Keen to learn, will need to be prepared to read local and occasionally European legislation
Fraud experience useful but not essential
Background in compliance would be desirable but not essential.
